ABOUT FOOD WASTE
HERO AS A STANDARD
By 2023 all EU countries must take care of and collect food waste. This is a small revolution in our industry since it affects how we develop kitchen interiors and storage solutions.
IMA has been working together with different national associations in waste disposal, to try to come up with a solution that can be used all over Europe. And the result is our very own HERO.
A ventilated bin specialized in collecting food waste. Maybe not that impressing... but the great thing about HERO is that it can be used together with all the different types of bags that are standard in communities throughout Europe. And its design makes it possible to insert in a majority of kitchen drawers and cabinets.
In that way we can say that HERO can form the new standard that we are going to need in the near future.
DIFFERENT HEROES
In different countries all over Europe, a variety of bio-degradable bags are being used for food waste. Therefor our food waste bin HERO is designed to fit together with all these different bags in different materials. We also created a possibility to add a divider if you would like two separate spaces.
